ELECTRIC ZOO NEW YORK COULD RETURN DESPITE SCRUTINY AFTER DRUG-RELATED DEATHS

After a tumultuous fifth edition in 2013, the Electric Zoo Festival New York has set its sights on bouncing back for 2014.
The EDM festival, which normally takes place in Randall’s Island Park, NYC, over Labour Day weekend, is scheduled for August 29-31 this year.
Ticket pre-sales are planed to start on April 29 and organisers have already released an action-filled trailer despite the fact that the festival has not yet been granted a site permit by the Department of Parks and Recreation.
Last year, the third day of Electric Zoo was cancelled after two concert goers died of a drug overdose and four more needed hospital treatment.

THIS LEGO CREATION PLAYS ACID HOUSE LIVE

oder and PhD student Alex Allmont has made a Lego creation that plays its own version of acid house.

Yup, you read that right. Allmont put together the model for AudioGraft, a far-out music festival based in Oxford. It plays sounds based on the drums and notes particular to the Roland TB303, the synth responsible for that signature acid sound.

Daft Punk advertise their products by the style of 70s

The last album of Daft Punk was clearly influenced by disco music and 70s , with a shining example of the worn out now Get Lucky. The band then decided to escape from the ordinary, yet again and do a mundane and boring campaign for its products ( shirts etc ) but to embrace for the good feel of the '70s. The posters seem to come from magazine pages of time and of course what better motto than the same lyrics . The retro marketing it worked and now we want one of these shirts and a wild night at the disco !

Final Touch - Complete Mastering System

It is fantastic to see such a powerful and beautifully made new music app from Positive Grid. Mastering is not the most common thing people do on the iPad, most of mastering apps for iPad are used by people that produce music exclusively on iOS. And those who use computers in their studio mostly rely on desktop software (whether built-in DAW plugins which are not best ones or commercial plugins like iZotope Ozone).
